Chiropractic
A chiropractor is a health care professional focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular & musculoskeletal disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine and tissues. Chiropractors seek to reduce pain and improve the functionality of patients as well as to educate them on how they can account for their own health via exercise, ergonomics and other therapies to treat all sorts of conditions.
For many conditions, chiropractic treatment can restore the structural integrity of the spine, relax the surrounding soft tissue structures, reduce pressure on the sensitive neurological tissue, and consequently improve the health of the individual.
Domino Chiropractic PLLC believes that through chiropractic care, we get to the root issue of what is causing our patient's pain. We take the hands-on approach to deal with pain. Here, we use an integrated chiropractic approach to helping our patient's not only get relief from their pain, but go as far as to make sure that their cause of pain is uprooted.
Dr. Henson is not only a chiropractor, but also a certified athletic trainer and massage therapist. Therefore, he believes in transformation of the whole body by the use of chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue manipulation (massage, cupping, scraping, dry needling, hypervolt, etc.), and rehabilitation. That by getting the muscles that attach to the skeletal system to relax, then using chiropractic adjustments to align the skeletal system, followed by rehabilitation to stabilize and support, the body can then function in its most optimal state.
Kinesiology / Athletic Training
Athletic training encompasses the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions. Athletic trainers are health care workers who diagnose and treat those who have sustained injuries to their muscles and bones. They also teach others how to prevent injuries and help with ergonomics. Their patients are usually athletes, but others might seek treatment as well. Athletic training is recognized by the American Medical Association (AMA), Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as an allied health care profession.
Massage Therapy
A massage therapist is someone who treats clients by using touch to manipulate the soft-tissue muscles of the body. With their touch, massage therapists relieve pain, rehabilitate injuries, reduce stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of their clients. There are many types of massage such as; sports, clinical, swedish, deep tissue, therapeutic, and prenatal.
